It can be said that most of what has been written in Arab narrative art is that the writer invents the characters of his novel and its events creatively; if he relies on reality, it is for the sake of the imagination that he dominates in the novel. This is on one hand. On the other hand, it can also be said that Arab novel has paid - in a large part of what it produced - attention to the events that occur (imaginary, of course, and soaked in reality), inspired by modern and contemporary history. What happened in "Gronaṭa's Tear" is that the writer cleverly benefited from the Arab literary heritage, with characters and events; almost everything in the novel is what actually happened to the main hero, who is the writer Lisan al-Din ibn Khatib. And in this realism, which was linked to Lisan al-Din's personal biography, the novelist Ahmed Hamad Al-Sabit did not abandon the scientific conditions or constraints set by those concerned with narrative techniques. So his creative text flowed with those techniques, including a set of elements that are popularly considered components of the novel work: artistic narration, dialogue, a clear scope of time and place, under which many chandeliers of stories, ideas, digressions, references, and citations hang, forming together the overall picture of the written work called: a novel. And perhaps it is necessary to point out an important feature of this novel, which is that the writer tried - and succeeded in doing so - to transfer the literary style, known as memoir or personal biography literature, from its contemporary circle into the field of heritage. By this, he merged the present with the past in a literary manner, as if he wanted the heritage to be contemporized artistically, and for modernity to be protected by heritage from the plague of chaos and randomness.
