Honey extract

Plant-based honey extract soluble in water used from 2 to 5% honey is a natural disaccharide sugar consisting of fructose and glucose. In cosmetics, it is known for its properties, especially its moisturizing ability*. However, its heavy and sticky texture limits its use, especially in hair products. In Honeyquat, honey has been modified through quaternization to make it a cationic compound. These compounds have good affinity with keratin and are considered excellent hair moisturizers. They give a very soft touch to the hair, but also to the skin. The effectiveness of Honeyquat has been proven in the laboratory and in vivo on hair strands and volunteers. Tests show very good moisturizing effectiveness, especially better moisture absorption than glycerin. Tests conducted on hair strands showed that Honeyquat binds to hair fibers to cover, smooth, and protect them, helping to add softness and shine to the hair. Tests conducted on volunteers in shampoo confirmed an improvement in hair styling, texture, and feel.
