Germaben from Lotion Craftor

Germaben® II is a broad-spectrum liquid preservative system. Its active ingredients are dissolved in propylene glycol, making them easy to incorporate into formulations. It is ready to use in oil phase emulsions of 25% or less and water-soluble formulations. Germaben II is heat-sensitive and should be added to the aqueous phase or the emulsified part of the formulation at 140°F (60°C) or lower, during the cooling phase, usually before adding fragrance. Adding Germaben II above 140°F (60°C) may compromise the preservative system in your product.
