Lutalyse is a veterinary medicine containing prostaglandin F2α, and is used in cattle, pigs, and horses to regulate estrous cycles and ovulation. It is also used in cattle to treat chronic uterine infections, in pigs to induce labor, and in horses to treat infertility or delay labor. The product is available only with a prescription from a veterinarian and requires careful use to avoid its effects on humans and pregnancy.
