Primovet 100 grams is an veterinary antibiotic powder containing sulfadiazine (400 mg/gram) and trimethoprim (80 mg/gram), used to treat bacterial infections such as respiratory and digestive diseases in poultry and large animals, and treats conditions like Escherichia coli, Salmonella, poultry cholera, and pneumonia. It is given in drinking water, but not intended for layer chickens producing table eggs, and must be withdrawn from the market before meat consumption. Basic information: ingredients: sodium sulfadiazine (400 mg) and trimethoprim (80 mg) per gram. Uses: effective against infections caused by Escherichia coli, Pasteurella, and Salmonella (such as Pullorum disease, and poultry cholera) in poultry, pneumonia, and enteritis in large animals. Dosage (for poultry): 100 grams in 500 liters of drinking water for 5 days. Uses: effective against infections caused by Escherichia coli, Pasteurella, and Salmonella (such as Pullorum disease, and poultry cholera) in poultry, pneumonia, and enteritis in large animals. Contraindications: not used for laying hens (table eggs) or animals with kidney or liver problems. Withdrawal period: meat from animals should not be consumed for 12 days after the last dose.
