Ceftifur is an antibiotic broad-spectrum effective against bacteria gram-positive and gram-negative, and characterized by its resistance to beta-lactamase. It is used to treat a range of acute and chronic bacterial diseases in cattle, camels, sheep, horses, and poultry. Common uses: respiratory infections (such as bacterial pneumonia), urinary tract infections, postpartum uterine infections, joint infections, septicemia, and some cases of mastitis.
