Virtue (Al-Fadila) by Mustafa Lutfi Al-Manfaluti... Raising children is one of the most important achievements that a person can be proud of, especially for mothers who instill in their children values and morals. Because bringing forth a righteous generation that preserves virtue is a great goal, and this is what 'Helen' and 'Margaret' sought in raising their children, 'Virginia' and 'Paul'. And when the children grew up, each loved the other, but life does not give everything; Virginia died because she preferred to be swallowed by the sea without compromising her morals, and her beloved 'Paul' followed her grief-stricken, and they were buried together. Then after a month, her mother 'Helen' died, and after three months, Margaret, her mother, also died. Thus, the two families departed, and virtue departed with them. Al-Manfaluti wanted to remind us of the value of virtue that has disappeared amidst the rush of days, a virtue we need very much to revive our morals and civilization once again.
