Product description
Knowing the names of Allah the Most Beautiful, by their three levels, is among the greatest strengthenings of faith; rather, knowing Allah by His names and attributes is the foundation of faith, and faith returns to this great origin. For this reason and others, I gathered what Allah made easy for me of the Most Beautiful Names, and I mentioned for each name a proof from the Sunnah, the Book, or otherwise, I presented all these names to the esteemed Sheikh, the scholar, the Imam, Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Baz, the General President of the Departments of Scientific Research, Ifta, Da'wah, and Guidance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, may Allah reward him well and have mercy on him. Whatever he approved, I confirmed; whatever he hesitated about or denied, I omitted. So I gathered more than ninety-nine of the Most Beautiful Names with their explicit evidences, then I chose nine of these names and explained them briefly, except in some names where I extended the explanation because the occasion required that. I transferred the explanation of these names from trusted sources, especially for the people of verification from Ahl al-Sunnah; like Ibn Taymiyyah, his student Ibn al-Qayyim, and the scholar, the knowledgeable Abdul Rahman bin Nasser Al-Sa'di, may Allah have mercy on them all. They are undoubtedly among the scholars whom Allah benefited through their knowledge. I divided this research into fifteen sections as follows: First section: The names of Allah the Most High are definitive (tawqifiy). Second section: The pillars of faith in the Most Beautiful Names. Third section: The categories of what is attributed to Allah the Most High. Fourth section: The three types of indications of the Most Beautiful Names. Fifth section: The true meaning of disbelief in the names of Allah the Most High. Sixth section: Enumerating the Most Beautiful Names is the basis of knowledge. Seventh section: All of Allah’s names are beautiful. Eighth section: The names of Allah: some are used individually and combined with others, and some are not used alone but are paired with their opposites, according to several attributes. Ninth section: Among the Most Beautiful Names, some are indicative. Tenth section: The Most Beautiful Names to which all other names and attributes refer. Eleventh section: The names and attributes of Allah are exclusive to Him, and the agreement of the names does not necessitate the sameness of the referents. Twelfth section: Matters that should be known. Thirteenth section: The levels of enumerating the Most Beautiful Names. Fourteenth section: The Most Beautiful Names are not limited. Fifteenth section: An explanation of the Most Beautiful Names without negation, distortion, Tashbih (resembling Allah), or Takyif (specifying Allah’s attributes), concluding with fatwas regarding the Most Beautiful Names from the Permanent Committee for Scientific Research and Ifta in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I named it: Explanation of the Most Beautiful Names of Allah in light of the Book and Sunnah. This is what Allah made easy for me to compile. If it is correct, it is from the One, the Generous; and if it is wrong, it is from myself and Satan. Allah is free from that, and His Messenger. I ask Allah to make this little work purely for His Face, close to Him, beneficial for its compiler, reader, and printer, and to make it a proof for us and not against us. May He benefit from it the compiler and the one it reaches. Indeed, He is the best responsible and the most hopeful. He is sufficient for us and the best disposer of affairs. There is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Great. May Allah's peace, blessings, and mercy be upon His servant, His creation, the trustworthy messenger, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family, his companions, and those who follow them in goodness until the Day of Judgment. There is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Great. Written by the humble servant to Allah, Dr. Saeed bin Ali bin Wahf Al-Qahtani, Saturday night, 1409/7/12 AH.
