Mohammed Saleh Al-Barrak Evidence of the obligation of the congregational prayer In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Praise be to Allah, who revealed the truth and elevated its people, and subdued falsehood and betrayed its followers, and blessings and peace be upon the one after whom there is no prophet, Muhammad - peace be upon him - and upon his companions. As for what follows: I had been preparing a response to the book "Qawafel Al-Taa'ah in the Ruling of the Congregational Prayer" by Ahmed Qasim Amin Al-Ghamdi, and I introduced before the response an introduction that includes general evidence of the obligation of the congregational prayer. Some virtuous people and noble scholars advised me to dedicate it as a separate book, so that it benefits more widely and serves as a defense for the Shariah. I liked this suggestion and it resonated deeply with me, and I decided to dedicate that introduction. Its content is that Allah - the Almighty - magnified the importance of gathering, encouraged love and unity, warned against division and disagreement, and hated them for His servants. He also condemned the people of deviation and anger, from the Jews and those who imitate them, as Allah said: "And do not be like those who divided and differed..."
