Sheikh Abdullah Saleh Al-Fawzan Introduction to the new edition In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his companions. As for what follows: This is a new edition, corrected, refined, and augmented of my book: "Guide of the Seeker to the Mu'allaqa of Ibn Malik," undertaken by Dar Ibn al-Jawzi, which is known through its publications for achievement, accuracy, and quality of production. It has been, praise be to Allah, reviewed—reading the book and adding what was previously mentioned, along with careful attention to the verses of the Mu'allaqa by reviewing several well-edited copies, and books concerned with parsing and correcting the wording. Then I saw fit to mention all the verses of the Mu'allaqa related to each part in its introduction, so that it would be close to the حافظ (memorizer) and the reader. I ask Allah to benefit from this explanation, and to reward me—and those who benefited from me—for the effort and time I have spent. And Allah is the Guide to success.
