Al-QuduriImad Al-Tayyar Introduction of the WorkPraise be to Allah until the praise reaches its end, and blessings and peace be upon the best of creation whom Allah chose and selected, and upon his family, companions, and those who follow his guidance. And after, it is known that Islamic sciences are the noblest of sciences, and that the times for learning, teaching, and engaging with them are the best of times. Among the greatest of these Islamic sciences in rank, and the most beneficial, and the most useful, is jurisprudence, for it is the pillar of truth, the system of creation, and the means of happiness. In it, the lawful and the unlawful are known, and worships and transactions are validated. It is the pillar of the muftis and judges. And suffice it as an honor of jurisprudence that Allah the Almighty said: "So why did not a group of each faction of them go forth to understand the religion" [Tawbah: 122], and His saying: "Whom Allah intends good for, He makes him understand the religion." Allah the Almighty prepared scholars, past and present, who engaged in this science, and dedicated their lives to learning, teaching, and writing about it. Among the foremost were the Imams of Hanafi from the beginnings of the partial documentation of issues of the roots of jurisprudence. After that, they devoted themselves to writing; their writings came in three types: 1 - Summaries that focused on clarifying the preferred opinion. 2 - Explanations: which revolved around the summaries, explaining them and deriving issues from them. 3 - Fatwas and incidents: which specialized in incidents and new issues. Our book is a summary of Al-Quduri called "The Book" by Imam Abu al-Husayn Muhammad Al-Quduri (1), from the first type: summaries. It is a solid text, relied upon in the Hanafi madhhab, and its fame spread widely, with many explanations. Despite its brevity, it covers all chapters of jurisprudence, starting with purification and ending with inheritance. Sheikh Abdul Ghani Al-Midani, author of "Al-Lubab," said about it: "The blessed book of Imam Al-Quduri has spread its barakah, to the extent that it became like essential knowledge. Therefore, students have been keen to understand and teach it, crowding to learn and teach it. I was among those who dedicated many days to it, and persistently revisited it, until some of its jewels were hidden in their mines, and some of its subtleties concealed within their depths" (3). Due to the importance and fame of this book among scholars and students of knowledge, especially students of Hanafi jurisprudence, the Message Foundation Publishing decided to print and publish this book in a new, distinguished form that befits it, making it easier to teach and facilitating understanding for the student. My work on the book: 1 - Comparing the book in four handwritten copies and an old print from the year (1323 AH) (3), and noting the differences between the copies in the margin, with reference to its various explanations, which was of great benefit. (1) The definition of the book and author will come soon. (2) Introduction of "Al-Lubab," p. 5. (3) Its description and discussion will come later.
