Introduction to the new edition
Praise be to Allah, Lord of all worlds, and prayers and peace be upon our Prophet, teacher, and guide, and the coolness of our eyes, and the illuminator of our path to happiness in the two worlds, Muhammad ibn Abdullah, Abdul Muttalib Al-Hashimi Al-Qurashi, and upon his pure and good family, his noble companions, and those who follow their way and adhere to their Sunnah until the Day of Judgment.
Afterward,
The book "Takhlees Al-Fara'id" has, by Allah's grace, the All-Knowing, the Wise, gained acceptance among students of knowledge. This is thanks to Allah's favor, and then due to the detailed calculation tables it contains, which make understanding the issues and reaching solutions easy. Therefore, previous editions have nearly run out.
In response to the desire of some virtuous colleagues and some students of inheritance at the Mosque of Al-Hayy, I have added a chapter on dividing the estate among creditors if it is tight to settle all debts, and another chapter on wills. All of this was done concisely. Since the discussion of wills is extensive and is often covered by fiqh books, and as the book, as indicated by its title, is concise to suit the understanding of beginners in learning inheritance and to assist intermediates in solving issues, I have limited myself to briefly defining the will and its legitimacy from the Book, Sunnah, and consensus, along with some important and well-known formulas such as bequeathing a specific share like one-third, one-quarter, or one-sixth as a shared estate, or bequeathing to a person one-third or one-eighth, for example. Also, bequeathing to a person a similar share to a specific heir like the husband, son, or mother. Additionally, I included two wills in two cases of rescission, where the deceased first bequeaths a specific shared part, and the second deceased also bequeaths a similar part from his share of the estate. I prepared examples for these cases and solved them using my method of tables and explanations.
