It is considered the oldest book of the sects of Muslims, reaching the present day. Imam Abu al-Qasim al-Balkhi al-Ka'bi said he started the book in the year 290 AH, and it is known that he passed away, may Allah have mercy on him, in the year 319 AH. It is clear in many places that Abu al-Husayn al-Ash'ari acknowledged in his book "Articles of the Muslims" about al-Ka'bi's book without mentioning him. The book is distinguished by its transfer from books of sects and schools that have been lost and vanished, such as the books of Zarquan, Waraq, Barghouth, and others. The book contains what is not found elsewhere and is considered an important source, especially regarding what it transmits about the Mu'tazila sect. It was printed along with another book and re-investigated after it was printed some time before. It is an important book for answering atheists and their arguments.
