Collection of jewels in salt and rare items By Abu Ishaq Al-Qayrawani And it is the one that was printed before under the name Footnote to Zahr Al-Adab Published by Dar Kalimat On the words of Syria Ali Al-Bijawi Title of the book: Collection of jewels in salt and rare items Authored by: Abu Ishaq Ibrahim bin Ali Al-Hassri Al-Qayrawani (d. 453 AH) Verification: Ali Muhammad Al-Bijawi Edition: First Number of parts: 1 Number of pages: 479 Publisher: Dar Kalimat From the rare works of Al-Hassri, the author of (Zahr Al-Adab). It was first printed in Egypt under the title (Footnote to Zahr Al-Adab), and the publishers justified this naming by stating that the author of (Zahr Al-Adab) did not mention salt and rare items, so this book was made as a footnote to it, collecting these salt items. Originally, it is an independent book in which Al-Hassri gathered rare salt items, humorous anecdotes, amusing merits, selected poetry, and fine prose, avoiding licentiousness, and what is repugnant to good customs and noble morals. It was printed with the verification of Ali Muhammad Al-Bijawi in 1954 CE, following the publication of Zahr Al-Adab, relying on two manuscripts from the holdings of the Egyptian Library, one copied in 1274 AH, and the other without a date. Both copies have many distortions and corruptions. See the book (Al-Husriyān) authored by Dr. Muhammad bin Saad Al-Shuwaier (Literary Club: Riyadh 1399 AH), quoting from Al-Warraq.
