Explanation of the Message of Servitude | Ibn Taymiyah | Saleh bin Fawzan
The Message of Servitude: This small message in its structure, is great in its meaning, and was from Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah as a response to a question addressed in his name, about the meaning of the verse: {O mankind, worship your Lord who created you and those before you, so that you may become mindful.} What is it? And what are its tasks? Is the entire religion included in it? Or not? And what is the reality of servitude? Is it the highest rank in this worldly life? Or is there something above it? So he – may Allah have mercy on him – answered in this valuable message. Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah also quoted from this (servitude) what is attached to it of misguidance and superstition, which spread among many of the poor, who, most of them, with good intentions, were involved in following some ignorant sheikhs or deceiving deceivers, who infiltrated Islamic mediation during many periods. Therefore, scholars were keen to explain it and clarify its meanings, including the explanation of the Silver Silver by Sheikh Saleh Fawzan.
