Product description

A distinguished group of scholars, the Simplified Tafsir (size 14 × 20), is a remarkable interpretive book prepared by a group of scholars from the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This interpretation is considered the original in transmission and translation into many living languages, which speakers wish to understand and interpret the verses of the Holy Quran, whether Muslims or non-Muslims seeking the truth and wanting to understand the principles and rulings of Islam from reliable sources free from bias and passions. Due to the lengthy mention of chains of narration, sayings, and differences among scholars in most of the interpretations presented by the early scholars of Tafsir, which their authors classified as for native Muslims without considering simplification, ease, and the desire for translation into other languages, and due to the current need for a Tafsir free from multiple opinions, hadith chains, scholarly differences, and sayings of Islamic sects, the management of the Holy Quran at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call, and Guidance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia formed a specialized committee of senior scholars of Tafsir and Quranic sciences to develop an easy Tafsir suitable as a basis for translations of the Quran into various languages. It can be written in Arabic in the margins of the Holy Quran pages. This Tafsir relies on mentioning the direct meaning of the Quranic words, along with what is needed for the meaning from grammar and rhetorical and literary styles of the Quran, as well as linking the meanings of the verses with the preceding and following verses, without mentioning readings, differences among grammarians, or legal rulings derived from the verses. It is written in a smooth style with simple words that are easy for Muslims to understand and benefit from. This Tafsir distinguished itself from other Quranic interpretations by several aspects, most notably: prioritizing the methodology of the righteous predecessors over other sectarian and biased approaches; giving precedence to transmitted interpretation over opinion-based interpretation; limiting itself to mentioning the correct or most likely opinion without noting differences; highlighting the main objectives of Islamic law and the ways of divine guidance within the Tafsir; focusing on the meaning equivalent to the verse without extensive explanations of related verses, and only explaining other related verses where necessary; relying on the Hafs narration from Asim ibn Abi al-Najud al-Kufi, without other well-known readings; using simple language, clear meaning, concise expression, and avoiding lengthy explanations.
