Musnad Al-Imam Ahmad 1-14 Al-Makniz Al-Islami
The Islamic Treasure Association published in the year 1427 AH / 2007 AD the second edition of the encyclopedia of the noble Hadith called (Collection of comprehensive hadiths and chains of narration and treasure of authentic collections, Sunan, and Musnad). It includes the Musnad of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, verified from thirty-three handwritten copies, including four complete copies, and supplemented with the printed Maimaniyah, with the assistance also of a number of auxiliary sources that we relied on in some of them on the manuscript copies without the printed ones due to the many errors, distortions, and omissions in them, so its texts became reliable and free from errors and distortions. This publication is considered the most accurate scientific edition of it, as it was meticulously checked, fully linked with the chains of narration of the Musnad Al-Hanbali and the I'tifaf Al-Maharat and Tuhfat Al-Ashraf, and extracted from the six books and Muwatta. It is accompanied by fifteen indexes focusing on chains of narration and texts. It was printed in fourteen volumes with unique handwriting and elegant layout. It is also loaded onto a CD along with the first edition books, which include the six books and Imam Malik’s Muwatta, may Allah have mercy on him.
The Musnad of Imam Ahmad is considered the greatest of the Musnad books available to Muslims today, the largest and highest. How could it be otherwise, when its compiler is the eminent Imam, Sheikh of Islam, the master of the memorisers, unanimously trusted and just, Ahmad ibn Hanbal Al-Shaybani, may Allah have mercy on him.
Imam Ahmad carefully selected it, and he said, may Allah have mercy on him: "Indeed, I have compiled this book and selected it from more than seven hundred and fifty thousand, so if the Muslims differ about a hadith of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, then refer to it. If you find it there, then it is authentic, and if not, then it is not a proof."
Features of this edition of the encyclopedia:
This edition of the handwritten copies has qualities that other editions do not have. We relied on thirty-eight copies, which contain valuable, highly accurate handwritten copies read to the eminent memorisers, with their lines verified. We also uniquely, praise be to Allah, included sixteen rare copies on which the Musnad is printed for the first time.
This is the most complete edition of the Musnad. Despite the many editions, all of them are incomplete, including the edition of Al-Resalah Foundation, which contained more than one hundred hadiths missing in some places, and we thank Allah for His success.
It is the only edition fully diacritized with tashkeel, with great care taken to verify the valuable handwritten copies we relied on, and to correct what needs correction.
It is also the only edition where its hadiths are fully linked to the books of Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani (I'taraf Al-Musnad Al-Mu'tali Bi-Attaraf Al-Musnad Al-Hanbali) and (I'tifaf Al-Maharat Bi-Attaraf Al-Ashar).
We extracted its hadiths, one by one, from the six books and Muwatta, and linked them to Tuhfat Al-Ashraf by Al-Mizzi.
A distinguished team of researchers specialized in the sciences of Hadith and the Arabic language supervised this remarkable edition, with high-level academic scientific oversight and comprehensive detailed review by Professor Dr. Ahmed M'bad Abdul Karim, Professor of Hadith at Al-Azhar University.
It was also reviewed by thirteen scholars specialized in the sciences of Hadith and the Arabic language, and it received their approval and appreciation. They expressed praise and commendation for this work, and their remarks, corrections, or guidance were taken into account.
We began this edition with their beautiful praise and commendation, as a golden necklace indicating the excellence of our work and our praiseworthy approach.
Their words unanimously emphasized that this edition of Imam Ahmad’s Musnad is the best of its editions. Truly, it is a unique, enhanced, verified, and meticulously checked edition, with its texts diacritized, its rare words clarified, its hadiths extracted and carefully matched, and differences among copies fully documented in the footnotes. It completed what was lacking, corrected previous errors, explained difficult words, clarified grammatical structures when necessary, and linked the hadiths to the other six books, Muwatta of Malik, and Tuhfat Al-Ashraf. All praise be to Allah with abundant praise.
