The section in the compilation of hadiths and آثارthe multiple in the explanation of Al-‘Umdat al-Fiqh | Baha' al-Din bin Abdul Rahman al-Maqdisi | Khalid bin Dhib Allah al-Shalahi.
Al-‘Umdat al-Fiqh in the Hanbali school and also known as ‘Umdat al-Fiqh’ or ‘Al-‘Umdat’ is a concise fiqh book authored by Al-Hafiz Ibn Qudamah (541 AH – 620 AH).
It is a book based on the Hanbali school of thought, mentioning one opinion and connecting it to the Hanbali madhhab, making it suitable for beginners studying Hanbali fiqh.
The book is considered a concise work in Hanbali fiqh, in which Ibn Qudamah mentions a specific opinion, making it easy for beginners to understand.
His method in the book is to start each chapter with a hadith from authentic sources, then discuss what the scribes have deduced from that hadith.
Ibn Qudamah said: “I have included authentic hadiths for blessing and reliance, and I have transmitted them from the companions so I can dispense with your contribution.”
We have stated the correct opinion about it in the madhhab based on the deduction from that hadith.
Scholars, both past and present, have explained and taught it.
Among these scholars is Baha' al-Din Abdul Rahman bin Ibrahim al-Maqdisi, a student of Imam Muwafaq al-Din Ibn Qudamah, the author of this text.
This book in fiqh was summarized by Imam Baha' al-Din al-Maqdisi with great brevity, focusing on one main opinion to make it clear for the reader, so that confusion does not arise from differing narrations.
He included in this summary three authentic hadiths for blessing and reliance, which are relied upon and do not need further verification.
