And if a student of knowledge wants to be skilled, proficient, firmly grounded, useful, and blessed, he must master three arts: The first: sincere and fruitful reading The second: beneficial writings The third: acting upon knowledge, teaching it, and adhering to its manners. Some students of knowledge may master one of these arts and neglect or be unaware of the others. So, the student of knowledge should be keen to master them all.
