Book title: The Achievement of Need - Explanation of Sunan Ibn Majah Author: Muhammad Ali Janbaz Edition: First 1433 AH Number of volumes: 9 Publisher: Dar Al-Noor - Pakistan, Bayt Al-Salam The Achievement of Need - Explanation of Sunan Ibn Majah Muhammad Ali Janbaz Size: 17*24 Volumes: 9 - Pages: 5344 Hardcover - Shamua Sunan Ibn Majah, due to its great value, scholars have not found an explanation that matches its status; the explanations known to students of knowledge are either incomplete or brief and do not fulfill the purpose. Until the scholar Sheikh Muhammad Ali Janbaz dedicated himself to a comprehensive explanation, and he mentioned the approach he followed in the explanation, saying: "My approach in composing this explanation: 1- I placed numbers at the beginning of the explanation of each narration to facilitate reference. 2- I committed to authenticating each hadith after its explanation, indicating its authenticity or weakness, relying in my authentication on Al-Tuhfa Al-Ashrafiya by Al-Mizzi, and the indexed dictionary of the words of the Prophet’s Hadith, and the encyclopedia of the branches of the Noble Hadith by Zaghloul, and the Treasures of Inheritance by Nabulsi, among other books. I reviewed the original book I referred to in most places, but I did not adhere to this in some places due to my confidence in the correctness of the references. 3- I provided a detailed translation of each narrator at the first mention of their name. 4- The esteemed reader will find at the end of the book, God willing, a comprehensive index of the biographical references mentioned in the book. 5- I adhered in most places to the precise naming of men and places from trusted sources known among scholars, such as Al-Khulasa by Al-Khuzari, Al-Taqreeb, and Al-Ansab by Al-Sam'ani, and the "Monitoring of Place Names" by Safi Al-Din Abdul Mumin. 6- I strived in explaining each hadith to include additions that clarify the meaning or detail the story, from sources not authenticated by Imam Ibn Majah, may Allah have mercy on him, but authenticated by others. 7- I committed to mentioning the jurisprudential opinions in each legal issue from their trusted books, explaining each school of thought in detail to clarify their intentions, as misunderstandings often occur due to brief explanations. I preferred detailed clarification so the reader would be well-informed. 8- I mentioned the proofs of each jurist from the Book and Sunnah, discussing them in text and chain with ease for students, then I listed the proofs of the preferred school of thought, following a fair approach, avoiding excessive effort and forcing support for a particular school.
