Authored by Abu Muhammad Az Zain bin Abdul Aziz Abu Al Qasim Al Shafi'i Presented and verified by Saleh Abdul Aziz Al Al Mansour Cared for by Abdul Majid bin Saleh bin Abdul Aziz Al Mansour Introduction to the second edition Praise be to Allah, the First who has always been, the Everlasting, the Permanent without end, and I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah, the Living, the Sustainer, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, the best of prophets and the most excellent of messengers. Peace and blessings be upon him, his family, and his companions, the epitome of example. As for what follows: One of the best things a person leaves after his death are three things: ongoing beneficial knowledge, continuous charity, and a righteous child who prays for him, as the trusted report from the beloved indicates, through Alaa bin Yaqub from his father, from Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "When a person dies, his deeds are cut off except from three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him." Narrated by Muslim. There is no doubt that the happiest people are in certain matters, and undoubtedly the most important and beneficial of these is the knowledge left by the deceased; because its benefit extends to others. The deceased is invoked for, people are guided, and they learn about their religion, and they are directed to act according to the Book and Sunnah and follow the methodology of the Salaf of the Ummah, even while in his grave. He is dead in body but alive among people in his knowledge and understanding. One of the most important things that preserve the knowledge of a scholar and his understanding is the books he composes or the scientific manuscripts he verifies and benefits from Islam and Muslims, keeping his remembrance as long as Allah wills. The verifier of this book, Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdul Aziz Al Mansour, may Allah have mercy on him, had some books, and we ask Allah to make them purely for His face so that they remain and benefit from them. When Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, authored the Muwatta, he said: "What Allah has, remains; so the book of Malik remained, and what other Muwatta books like that of Al-Layth and others, as Al-Dhahabi says, perished." And although the books of Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdul Aziz Al Mansour are not many, he is among those who are said: "His knowledge is more than his writings, and whoever clings to the Sheikh, Allah, studies under him, and benefits from his knowledge, this is mercy." This is evident in reading the summarized biography of Sheikh Al Asr for the reader. If he had not passed away and left this life for Allah, I would not have written it because the fitnah on the living is not safe. But since he is dead, the fitnah is removed. And Allah is the helper. A brief biography of Sheikh Saleh bin Abdul Aziz Al Mansour, may Allah have mercy on him.
