This is a detailed explanation. Abdullah bin Salman Al-Fifi. The Tadmuri Message: Achieving affirmation of names and attributes and the true combining of Qadar (divine predestination) and Sharia (Islamic law), by Sheikh Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, who died in the year 827 AH – may Allah have mercy on him. The reason for writing it is what Sheikh Islam mentioned in its introduction, saying: "As for what follows: those whom I was assigned to answer asked me to write for them the essence of what they heard from me in some gatherings about monotheism, attributes, Sharia, and Qadar." – His speech in this message is based on two principles: The first principle: Monotheism of attributes, preceded by an introduction, then mentioned two noble principles and two analogies, and a comprehensive conclusion that includes seven rules through which what is stated in the introduction of this principle becomes clear. The second principle: Monotheism of worship, which includes faith in Sharia and Qadar altogether. – Those who asked the Sheikh to write for them the essence of what they heard from the people of Tadmur – apparently – and Tadmur is a town in the Levant, from the works of Homs, and this is the reason for attributing the message to it. It has been said about the Tadmuri creed: that it is the key to understanding the lengthy explanations of Sheikh Islam Ibn Taymiyyah; because he summarized in it the essence of his speech on names and attributes, Sharia, and Qadar, and clarified the doctrine of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah in these two topics in a focused manner, even though the names and attributes received the most detailed investigation, foundational clarification, discussion of people's doctrines, doubts, and objections.
