Gathering and arranging the beauty of Al-Qirsh Introduction In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate Praise be to Allah, the Lord of Glory and Honor, through His blessings and success, righteous deeds are completed, who did not beget nor was born, and to Him there is none comparable. The Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate, the Generous, the Noble, the Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious, the Most Generous, the Bestower, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, the Grasper and the Expander, the Advancer and the Delayer, the Judge, the Just, the Eternal, the Subtle, the All-Aware, the Answerer of the distressed when He calls upon Him, the Remover of harm and evil, in His hand is the kingdom of everything, and He is the Protector and none can protect against Him. Peace and blessings be upon the one sent to all as a bearer of good news and a warner, calling to Allah by His permission and a shining lamp. As for what follows: Indeed, the remembrance of Allah the Most High is among the noblest acts of worship that a servant draws closer to his Lord and occupies his soul with. Allah, the Most High, said: "And those who remember Allah often and those who do so frequently—Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward" (Al-Ahzab: 35). It is the life of the heart and soul, and the clarity of the heart from its echo, and it expiates sins and removes them, and it removes loneliness between the servant and his Lord. It is the cause of descending tranquility, enveloping mercy, and angels surrounding the rememberer. It is also the reason for the tongue to be occupied with praise instead of backbiting, gossip, obscenity, lying, falsehood, and idle talk and heedlessness. It removes worry, and brings joy, happiness, and expansion to the heart, and strengthens the heart and body. The one who remembers with reverence, sweetness, and brightness, illuminates the face and heart, brings sustenance, and adorns the rememberer with reverence. Since the remembrance of Allah the Most High is among the greatest acts that occupy a person, I aimed in gathering this concise book to compile the most important sayings one says during the night and day. I was careful in choosing authentic hadiths, and here are the details: Agreed upon (Bukhari, in the opening of Fath al-Bari), Muslim (verified by Abdul Baqi), Abu Dawood (verified by Muhyi al-Din), Tirmidhi, An-Nasa’i, Ibn Majah, Ahmad, Al-Hakim, Ibn Hibban in his Sahih, Al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman, Al-Bayhaqi's Sunan, Al-Albani's authentic collections, and I mention the source of the hadith correction by saying: "See Sahih Abi Dawood," etc., meaning it was authenticated by Al-Albani - may Allah have mercy on him - in his book Sahih Abi Dawood, etc. And you benefit from his books, may Allah forgive him! There are other references I include at the end of the book. I ask Allah, the Most High, the Great, to make this work purely for His noble face, beneficial to Muslims, and to have mercy on those who taught us, and to forgive me, my parents, and the believing men and women on the Day of Judgment. And I ask Him, the Glorious and Exalted, to reward everyone who helped us produce this book, especially: His Eminence Dr. Bassam Al-Ghanem, Professor of Hadith at the College of Teachers, who made a noticeable effort in reviewing the book; may Allah reward him with the best of rewards, and make what he presented in his record of good deeds on the Day when wealth and children will not benefit. I also thank His Eminence Dr. Khalid bin Othman Al-Sabt, Head of the Department of Quranic and Islamic Studies, for his guidance, and extend thanks to Dr. Ibrahim Jamil, Mr. Muhammad Al-Fatairi, and Mr. Juma'a Balh. He is the All-Hearing, Near, and Responding. May Allah's peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions, and those who follow his guidance until the Day of Judgment. Written by the one hopeful for his Lord's mercy, the Generous, the Bestower, Jamal bin Ibrahim Al-Qirsh.
