Authored by Dr. Turki Saud Al-Thaibi Introduction In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon whom there is no prophet after him. To proceed: This is a clarifying indication, and clear warnings, on selected words from the book Al-Rawd Al-Murabbi, with the explanation of Zād Al-Mustaqni‘ for the jurist, the proficient Hanbali, Mansour ibn Younes Al-Buhuti (may Allah have mercy on him, died in the year 1051). I ask Allah to grant him wide mercy. There is a need to pronounce these words, and to understand their languages; perhaps I will mention some warnings about them, and clarify their correct meanings, as a completion of benefit. I have followed a method in this that does not mislead the one who follows it, nor are its paths unknown; so I arranged it according to the order of Al-Rawd, without repeating what has been repeated of its words, but I mention it at the first place it appears, unless it is frequently associated with a chapter of its chapters, then I will refer it to its place there. May Allah grant this blessed explanation, Al-Rawd Al-Murabbi, acceptance among the majority of scholars and students in our country and elsewhere. So they turned to it, benefited from it in every beneficial way, and the sheikhs took it in circles of knowledge and gatherings — explaining and commenting on it, and writing beneficial notes on it, and extracting its hadiths and effects. Since Al-Rawd is a concise explanation, linked with the text of Zād, they have become like a single text; it is permissible for those engaged with it to treat it as a legal text. This work has thus been ongoing in the field of serving legal texts, just as Al-Muqni‘ was served with Al-Mutali‘, and Al-Khirqi with Al-Durr Al-Naqi. O reader of it and viewer of it, this is the merchandise of its owner, the generous, presented to you. This is its understanding and its mind, offered to you; you have its gain, and its author has its cost, and you have its fruit, and its benefit returns to you. If you lack praise and thanks from yourself, then you will not be deprived of forgiveness and pardon from Allah. I ask Allah to benefit from it, as He benefited from Al-Rawd and its footnotes, and Al-Muqni‘ and its summary. Ameen.
