Sheikh Muhammad Al-Bashir Al-Ibrahimi and his stance on Ilm al-Kalam The compilation by Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Hamd For the blessing of Islamic creed, its clarity, ease, and simplicity of learning — it is a great blessing; as it aligns with the sound nature, and sound minds, far from contradiction, disorder, and confusion; where all creation shares in understanding it; so the scholar, the layman, the old, and the young all comprehend it; it is like nourishment that benefits humans, indeed like water from which Allah made everything alive. The child, the infant, the strong man, and the weak all benefit from it. That was understood by the generation of the Companions; due to their closeness to the time, and direct reception from the fountain of Prophethood, which is the manifestation of all light, the source of all goodness, and the foundation of all guidance. They were the most sound in their innate disposition, the least pretentious, the most faithful, and the purest of souls. Then their followers, doing good, followed their path, guided by their guidance, calling to what they called for, and proceeding as they were upon. Among that victorious vanguard was the distinguished Sheikh, the scholarly Salafi Muhammad Al-Bashir Al-Ibrahimi of Algeria (1306–1385 AH), who contributed to defending the creed of the Salaf and responding to those who opposed it; he undertook this noble task throughout his life, blessed by his captivating eloquence, encyclopedic knowledge, and sincere zeal. Among his positions was his stance on Ilm al-Kalam; he addressed it in some of his works and clarified his position on it. This will be the main focus of this research, which bears the following title: "Sheikh Muhammad Al-Bashir Al-Ibrahimi and His Stance on Ilm al-Kalam — Study and Analysis."
