To the esteemed Sheikh Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Khudair
The word "Muasasat Maalim Al-Sunan"
Praise be to Allah, who elevated the people of knowledge with knowledge, chose them, and inherited them the knowledge of the Book, and with Him, He selected them.
May Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions from their beginning to their end, and upon the followers and those who follow them with goodness until the Day of Judgment and follow them.
After:
What is not hidden from anyone is the high status of scholars, and their glorious position, for they are the heirs of the prophets, the stars of the sky, the adornment of the world, and they are the pillars of religion.
Abu al-Darda reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say:
Whoever takes a path seeking knowledge, Allah will ease for him a path to Paradise.
And the angels spread their wings for the seeker of knowledge, and the seeker of knowledge seeks forgiveness for him from those in the heavens and the earth, even the fish in the water.
And the virtue of the scholar over the worshiper is like the moon over the other planets.
The scholars are the heirs of the prophets.
The prophets did not inherit dinars or dirhams; rather, they inherited knowledge.
Whoever takes it, takes a share abundant.
Among the scholars who dedicated their time to teaching and spreading knowledge is the virtuous Sheikh, the scholar Abdul Karim bin Abdullah Al-Khudair — may Allah preserve him and benefit us through him, and whom the people of knowledge and students recognize for his mastery, broadness, good investigation, and extensive knowledge.
Allah granted the Sheikh long ago the ability to explain the books of the people of knowledge in various sciences and comment on them with comprehensive and beneficial explanations, enriched by his broad knowledge and understanding of the contents of the books — especially the extensive ones — and the different editions of them; this made his explanations popular among students of knowledge of different levels.
Allah also established the Muassasat Maalim Al-Sunan to serve and spread the knowledge of the Sheikh since its founding in 1433 AH through multiple channels: electronic, satellite, and now — thanks to Allah — it completes its initial phase with printed copies, to crown its projects and organize its chain.
It is worth noting that this book is not authored by the Sheikh, but it is an audio explanation that was transcribed, organized, and served as a scientific service with the Sheikh’s permission.
Due to the extreme difficulty of converting audio output into printed books and sensing the responsibility entrusted to the institution, and seeking precision without pretense, the institution devised a renewed plan — approved by the Sheikh, may Allah preserve him — to produce books of high quality that satisfy, God willing, students of knowledge and enthusiasts.
The stages of working on the Sheikh’s books were as follows:
First: describing the transcript of the audio explanation and matching it.
Second: arranging the explanation in a manner suitable for the book, without altering the Sheikh’s words.
When there are confusing issues, they are presented to the Sheikh — may Allah preserve him.
Third: extracting hadiths and آثار (sayings, reports) and attributing opinions and schools to their owners, and providing scientific service to the book.
Fourth: creating a detailed index of topics to facilitate the reader’s access to scientific benefits.
Fifth: linguistic review of the book and ensuring the text’s correctness from grammatical and spelling errors that may occur during work.
Sixth: reviewing the book by a specialist in the field explained, to ensure the scientific accuracy after the work has been done by researchers.
Seventh: approving the book for printing by the institution’s scientific advisors.
This splendid occasion for printing this book, "Sharh Al-Muqaddima Al-Ajrumiyyah," we thank the Sheikh — may Allah preserve him — for what he has presented and continues to present to students of knowledge.
May Allah reward him with goodness and reward, bless his knowledge, work, and life, and benefit Islam and Muslims with his knowledge.
We also thank the working team at Muassasat Maalim Al-Sunan for their great effort in producing the book, and we thank the scientific advisors, reviewers, and everyone who contributed and participated in producing this great book.
May Allah reward them all with goodness and bless their efforts.
Thanks are also extended to the pioneering institution: Waqf Saad and Abdulaziz Al-Mousa Foundation, for their contribution to supporting the production of this book.
We ask Allah for success and guidance, and we call on all scholars and students of knowledge wherever they are to extend a helping hand, offer advice, and quickly provide observations and suggestions regarding any errors in the printed and to-be-printed explanations of the Sheikh.
Indeed, a person is often helped by his brothers, and Allah is the one asked to bless efforts and accept them.
All praise be to Allah, through His blessings, righteousness is completed, and prayers and peace be upon the noblest of His Prophets and Messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon all his companions.
