Maqasid al-Shariah al-Islamiyyah by Ibn Ashur

Authors: Ibn Ashour This book was made by its author in three parts. The first one: dedicated to the translation of Sheikh "Muhammad Al-Tahir Ibn Ashour," and explaining his reform movement, and discussing his writings. The second: aligned with the objectives of Sharia, adding to them a number of fundamental research due to the relationship between them. It detailed the discussion of his methodology in many of his scientific notes. The third: is the book of the objectives of Sharia distinguished by its issues and research. Thus, this book, meaning the objectives, was achieved and published after establishing its text, and presenting and commenting on it, hoping that it would be accessible to students, reviewers, and learners. Ibn Ashour in his book specifically aimed to explore the objectives of Islam from legislation in the laws of transactions and morals, which he sees deserve to be named after Sharia, and which reflect what Islam has considered in defining interests and harms and their preferences. This demonstrates the greatness of Islamic Sharia among other religions, laws, and social policies for maintaining the order of the world and reforming society.
