The Great News: New Perspectives on the Quran Mohammad Abdullah Daraz Center for Enlightenment for Publishing Prepared by a group of scholars of Tafsir and specialists in Quranic studies, under the supervision of the “Tafsir” Center for Quranic Studies. Educational features: - Clarity of expression and ease of understanding. - Limiting to explaining the verses and clarifying their meanings without delving into issues of recitations, grammar, jurisprudence, and similar topics. - Explaining unfamiliar Quranic vocabulary during the interpretation and highlighting the explanation with a different color as much as possible to facilitate review for those who want it. - Following the correct methodology in Tafsir by relying on authentic interpretations from the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, the interpretations of the companions, the Tabi‘un, and their followers, may Allah be pleased with them, and adhering to the principles of correct Tafsir. - Striving for the most likely meaning when there is disagreement, while observing the rules of Tafsir and the clues for preference. - Mentioning some guidance and benefits of the verses at the bottom of each page; to aid in contemplation and full benefit, under a separate title: Benefits of the Verses. - Presenting before each surah an explanation of its time of revelation (Meccan or Medinan), and a brief statement of its main purposes. - Collecting all of the above and writing it in the margin of the Holy Quran.
