Al-Hafiz Al-Iraqi
Al-Hafiz Zain Al-Din Abu Al-Fadl Al-Iraqi compiled the book "Al-Taqreeb" in the Hadiths of Jurisprudence. Whatever was in the two Sahihs, he left out its chain of narration, and what was in other collections, he indicated its source and pointed out important additional narrations and omitted the chains of narration, limiting himself to mentioning his chains in the introduction. When his son memorized the book — which he authored for him — he began to explain it, translating the men of its chains of narration, then explaining some chapters. His son, Al-Wali Al-Din Abu Zur'a, explained most of them and completed them. Scholars praised the book, and Al-Sakhawi said it is a comprehensive book. It explains the Hadiths in the manner of isolated benefits, each separate from the other, sometimes reaching dozens. After presenting the Hadiths of Jurisprudence according to the legal chapters, he concluded his book with chapters on manners, signs of the Hour, resurrection, paradise, and hellfire.
A brief about the book "Tahr Al-Tathreeb" in explaining "Al-Taqreeb" by Al-Hafiz Al-Iraqi 7/1:
"Tahr Al-Tathreeb" in explaining "Al-Taqreeb" is a book on the Hadiths of Jurisprudence. In it, Al-Hafiz Al-Iraqi explained his own book: "Taqreeb Al-Asaneed wa Tarteeb Al-Masanid," which he compiled from Al-Muwatta, Musnad Ahmad, the two Sahihs, the four Sunans, Sunan Ibn Majah, and Al-Mustadrak by Al-Hakim, all of which he adhered to authentic Hadiths, omitted the chains of narration, and only mentioned the companion who narrated the Hadith, arranging it according to chapters of jurisprudence.
