Collection and preparation by Ibtisam Marhoon Al-Saraj Collection and preparation by Waleed bin Ahmed Al-Hussein Introduction When scientific research becomes the routine of serious researchers, and we especially mention the university professor who bears many burdens... and when scientific accuracy is a concern and a methodology for researchers, they seek means to help them achieve scientific goals. Among these means was the attempt to follow up on solid research and studies in the field of specialization, foremost of which is reviewing what has been written in university theses and dissertations. This is a difficult task to accomplish and verify due to the abundance of these studies and their dispersion among various Iraqi universities in different cities... and finally, researchers in Iraq lack a comprehensive inclusive index of these studies. We have heard and seen great confusion and legitimate concern in the eyes of postgraduate students as they search for topics worthy of effort and into which they can pour the essence of their ideas and minds. One of them may spend many months on a research project, only to be surprised that there is one or more theses at another university or college within the country that have already addressed the topic, causing him to fall into despair and return to the starting point in search of a new subject. Thus, the idea of this lexicon emerged from the scientific desire to document postgraduate studies, highlight their volume, novelty, and authenticity on one hand, and the desire to quench the thirst of the confused researcher and meet the need of the eager in search of serious new research on the other.
