Abdullah Al-Fozan explains the hadith of Jabir رضي الله عنه regarding the description of the Prophet’s ﷺ pilgrimage | Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Fozan
The companions took care to transmit the description of the Prophet’s ﷺ pilgrimage and to clarify it, so each narrated what he saw and transmitted what he heard. Among those who were attentive to transmitting the description of the Prophet’s ﷺ pilgrimage was the noble companion Jabir bin Abdullah رضي الله عنه. He narrated to us the description of the Prophet’s ﷺ pilgrimage from the time he left Medina until he performed the Tawaf for the Farewell and prayed Dhuhr in Mecca. All of this was in a single sequence with clear wording and organized context, as narrated by Imam Muslim in his authentic collection. This, therefore, constitutes a unique act of worship (manasik) with no parallel in the hadiths concerning Hajj, and it contains many benefits related to Hajj and other matters.
Sheikh Abdullah Al-Fozan explained the hadith with an explanation that was neither too lengthy nor too brief or incomplete, revealing some of the precious aspects of this hadith and listing its benefits according to its context and arrangement, whether related to Hajj or other issues. The explanation was completed with the rites of the days of Tashreeq, the farewell Tawaf, and the description of his ﷺ return from Hajj, as Jabir رضي الله عنه did not mention anything about that in this context.
