Authored by Mansour bin Younes Al-Bahuti Verification by Dr. Turki Al-Dhiyabi Introduction In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Praise be to Allah, who opened our hearts with guidance to Islam, and granted us understanding of the religion and what He legislated of the beautiful, firm rulings. I praise Him for His abundant favor, and thank Him for teaching with the pen, teaching mankind what they did not know; so He perfected and made wise whatever is to be made wise. I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, without partner, the Lord of Glory and Honor, and I bear witness that our master and prophet Muhammad is His servant and Messenger, sent as mercy to the worlds, and as a guide to the straight path and clarification of lawful and unlawful. May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, his family, and his noble companions, with everlasting prayers and peace that do not diminish nor fade. As for what follows: Indeed, the most honored of sciences in value, the highest in pride, the most virtuous in excellence, and the most successful means: the knowledge of the noble Shariah, understanding its rulings, and knowing the secrets of its lawful and unlawful; therefore, assisting its seeker and facilitating its sources for its traveler became necessary. When I saw this gentle and precious explanation, called Al-Rawd Al-Murabbi, a commentary on Zād Al-Mustaqniʿ, a place of concern for scholars, and those who understand, and students in our country and what is related to it, and it truly deserves it, for it contains most of the important matters, and it comes with the aspiration of students, in a concise, summarized, sound manner, with attention to mentioning the evidence and explanation, stories of consensus, and care in restricting what is released, detailing what is summarized, and deducing and deriving from the original sources, and clarifying what contradicts the school of thought, and other virtues and merits. And it is no wonder; for its author is an expert in the school of thought, a clarifier, and relied upon by later scholars in clarifying issues of the school and documenting them. I say: When I saw him in this position and status, my soul yearned to work in serving him in a manner worthy of him; so I exerted effort, seeking Allah’s help, to reach the goal, desiring to achieve acceptance and benefit.
