Old chemistry "its reality and the stance of scholars towards it" and with it: the foolish advice to invalidate chemistry. By Imam Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya - may Allah have mercy on him - a manuscript published for the first time. The study uniquely tracks the disagreement of scholars regarding old chemistry in terms of its natural possibility and its Islamic legal ruling, and explores their opinions on both aspects across the geography of Arab culture and the history of science in Islamic civilization. It is a chapter that no one has opened, as far as I know. Along with this study, there is a verified heritage text of great importance, published for the first time, by the eminent scholar Abu Abdullah Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya. It was considered among the lost heritage until Allah, the Generous, facilitated by His grace the discovery of a unique original manuscript, readable from its author, with his handwriting and his license. And suffice it as an indication of its value and its high status, beyond what you know of the greatness of its author and his elevated rank, that writings in this field are rare and scarce, hardly exceeding the number of fingers on one hand, and we have received less than that. The book remained distant from the eyes of researchers, far from their hands for many centuries, and was not known to orientalists or others interested in the history of chemistry among the Arabs and tracking their writings in it.
