The justifications of rulings among the jurists and their missionary applications

Muhammad bin Maqad Al-Osaimi Introduction All praise be to Allah, we praise Him, seek His help, and ask for His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of ourselves and from our bad deeds. Whomsoever Allah guides, there is none to misguide him; and whomsoever He misguides, there is none to guide him. I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims. [Al-Baqarah: 102] O mankind, fear your Lord who created you from a single soul and created from it its mate, and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Indeed, Allah is ever Watchful over you. [An-Nisa: 1] O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. He will amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great victory. [Al-Ahzab: 70-71] As for what follows, Indeed, the meticulous in the science of الدعوة (call to Islam) finds it closely related to other Sharia sciences. It becomes clear to him that the caller cannot do without these sciences. The science of الدعوة is also important for everyone interested in the sciences of Sharia, especially what is connected to what الدعوة needs, whether concerning the caller, the called, the topics of الدعوة, or its means and methods. It will become evident to him the appearance of the doors of علم الدعوة in the words of the jurists, their evidence, and their deductions, especially what relates to الدعوية explanations. The one who examines the words of the jurists will find many issues that relied on in their explanation and preference on a set of الدعوية objectives; this makes these explanations a matter of interest for students and those concerned, especially for those who participate in الدعوة work. Allah, the Almighty, granted me success during my PhD stage to choose a research titled "The Explanations of حكم (rulings) among the jurists and their الدعوية applications." Below is a statement of the importance of the topic. First: The importance of the topic After the researcher reviewed the explanations in حكم and extrapolated a significant part of the jurisprudential books, he found that they have explanations related to the caller, explanations related to the called, and explanations related to topics, methods, and means of الدعوة. This is what we observe and see in our current time, of the need to understand explanations that suit the reality of الدعوة today. The jurists’ attention to explanations from the Book and Sunnah, their work with them, not wasting them, building new حكم based on them, and knowing their compatibility with الدعوية مصالح (benefits) shows us the status and importance of these explanations in these aspects. Making this clear and prominent has become a pressing matter, especially since الدعوة lives in an era of new developments, incidents, and changes that require increased awareness of the characteristics of this Sharia of completeness and harmony, and the effective persuasion of these الدعوية explanations in the reality of people and their lives.
