Introduction
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds; He created us to worship Him, commanded us to unify Him and obey Him, and He is rich and we are in need of Him.
﴿And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. I do not desire from them any provision, nor do I desire that they feed Me. Indeed, Allah is the Provider, the Possessor of strength﴾ (Surah Adh-Dhariyat: 56-58).
And His messengers are calling to Tawhid and sincerity in religion.
﴿And We sent not before you any messenger except that We revealed to him that there is no deity except Me, so worship Me﴾ (Surah Al-Anbiya: 25).
I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner, even if the polytheists dislike it, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger to all people.
May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, his family, and his companions who migrated, fought, endured, sheltered, and supported him, and may peace and blessings be upon them abundantly until the Day of Judgment.
As for what follows:
Since clarifying the correct creed and calling to it is the most important matter and the most certain obligation, because it is the foundation upon which the correctness and acceptance of deeds depend, the messengers, peace be upon them, paid great attention to correcting the creed first against what contradicts or diminishes it.
And the portion of this aspect in the surahs and verses of the Qur'an was the most abundant.
It also received the greatest attention from the Prophet ﷺ in his call and concern, as he spent thirteen years in Mecca calling to Tawhid and rectifying the creed. When Allah granted him victory over Mecca, his first act was to demolish the idols and eliminate them, and to command sincere worship of Allah alone, with no partner.
The scholars of this nation have given this aspect a great deal of effort, struggle, teaching, and writing, so that books of creed occupy a large part of the Islamic library and have become prominent among its contents.
I have wished to contribute my humble effort to this noble work, so I wrote these words which I present to the reader. They do not bring anything new but are a simplification of some information, and may include linking the reality of people today and their practices to that information so that the ruling becomes clear and the errors of those practicing them are exposed, perhaps they will return and others will be warned.
I have taken these words from the books of the imams of religion and Muslim scholars, such as the books of Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah, his student Ibn al-Qayyim, and the memorizer Ibn Kathir, as well as from the books of Sheikh Al-Islam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab and his students, the imams of the reform call (especially the book "Fath Al-Majeed").
I do not claim to have introduced anything new but hope to have clarified some information and linked it to the reality of people whenever an opportunity arises.
The origin of this book was episodes broadcast on the Quran Radio in Saudi Arabia. I did not intend for it to be published as a book, but by Allah’s will - the Most High - and then some noble brothers suggested collecting, organizing, and publishing them in a book to preserve their benefit, God willing.
I hope that in this there is goodness and that it is a small contribution—if any—in the field of calling to Allah, the Most High, especially at a time when many preachers focus on minor aspects that neither benefit nor harm without regard for the creed. They neglect the aspect of creed while seeing people entangled in major shirk around shrines and visits, involved in innovations and superstitions, and witnessing the misguided preachers who have seized many of the ignorant and common folk, leading them to destruction and misguidance, making them slaves to their minds and wealth, and ruling over them falsely in the name of knowledge and sainthood.
Many preachers today, unfortunately, do not pay attention to the aspect of creed and its rectification. Some may even say: Leave people on their beliefs and do not interfere with them; gather and do not divide… Let us unite on what we agree upon, and excuse each other in what we differ in… or similar phrases that contradict Allah’s statement:
﴿And if you dispute over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination﴾ (Surah An-Nisa: 59).
There is no unity or strength except by returning to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, and abandoning what contradicts them, especially in matters of creed, which are the foundation.
Allah said:
﴿And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not separate﴾ (Surah Al-Imran: 103).
The last of this nation will not be rectified except by what rectified its first. And Allah is the Guide and the one who grants success to the straight path.
And may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
