As for what follows: it is one of the causes of happiness that I present before this precious book "Al-Mawqitha," which is a book authored by a distinguished scholar from the scholars of this blessed nation, Imam Al-Dhahabi, who holds a great position in serving religion and knowledge. And the book ((Al-Mawqitha on the lightness of its size, and the brevity of its wording, is a great beneficial book and better than many of the abridgments written in the science of Hadith. Al-Dhahabi excelled in it to the utmost creativity, and he was proficient in brevity. The book has been printed more than once, and scholars have explained it, but the edition in our hands, which our brother, the esteemed Sheikh Yahya Ali Marai - may Allah guide him - undertook to verify, I believe it is the best edition of the book; as the researcher followed the original sources in his verification.
