The introduction to the science of the Prophet's biography, may peace and blessings be upon him

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. To proceed: Indeed, caring for the biography of the Prophet Muhammad, his campaigns, researching and verifying, teaching, authoring, correcting, editing, calling to Islam, and working in this are among the most virtuous deeds, the service of Islam, the complete connection with the Messenger, and among the greatest means of nearness to Allah and the means of attaining His pleasure. Living with the biography of the Prophet, as we have mentioned, is a great cause for increasing faith and perfect knowledge of the Most Merciful, with His names, attributes, and generous actions. It also involves recognizing the places of mercy and compassion in the prophetic life, goodness, and benevolence, and arming oneself with perfect patience, steadfastness in truth, and certainty. And in the prophetic biography, there is education on giving and sacrifice, on generosity and giving. The prophetic biography is the greatest provision after the Noble Qur’an because the Messenger of Allah is the greatest measure for all sayings, actions, and human states. So, congratulations to those who take a generous share of this provision and dedicate continuous effort in serving this noble science and esteemed origin. The morals and manners are before me in the book "Introduction to the Science of the Prophetic Biography," and "The Parallels in the Prophetic Biography" by its author and compiler, Sheikh Ahmed bin Ghanim Al-Asadi — may Allah preserve him. I have reviewed the mentioned book and found it valuable, unparalleled in its field. It contains benefits that keep one awake at night and make one travel far, and precious moments are spent in seizing them, in the best of states. It also contains rare insights that quench the thirst of the thirsty. When I read it, my love for knowledge of the prophetic biography increased, and my desire to care for it more grew. I ask Allah for help in that. And I ask Allah to facilitate the dissemination of this book, its acceptance, and benefit from it. And I say to Sheikh Ahmed: continue in serving the prophetic biography, for Allah has opened for you in this great science and authentic knowledge of the biographies, urging you to work diligently and blessedly.
