Introduction
Praise be to Allah, and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, companions, and those who follow him until the Day of Judgment.
To proceed:
Today, the Islamic library lacks a type of research that combines deep theoretical Islamic jurisprudential research with field experimental research, and I believe this research achieves both. It presents a study of obsessive thoughts in the Islamic and medical concepts, even if the researcher is not a doctor, as well as a field experimental study based on collecting data, analyzing it, presenting its results, and then discussing these results in light of Islamic and scientific concepts.
I found this research to be distinguished, containing a correct understanding of obsession as thoughts from the self and Satan or as a psychological disease, supported by evidence and proof, and attributed to reputable scientific references.
It also provides a description of the concept of obsession in Saudi society by identifying the research sample’s view of obsession, its effects, images, treatment, and the best ways to deal with it; thus giving the reader a clear initial picture of defining the features of obsession in society.
Therefore, this research is, as it is generally important for the reader, of great significance for every psychiatrist or mental health specialist to learn more about obsession and benefit from that in dealing with their patients.
It is also very beneficial for any patient afflicted with obsession to review and benefit from it as part of their comprehensive medical and psychological treatment.
I ask Allah to benefit from this research, to make it a treasure for the researcher in serving his nation with his knowledge, and to accept from us and from him every good deed.
And Allah is the ultimate guide.
