The author collected and presented all that preceded him of Hadith terminology, summarizing and abridging it. Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani states in the introduction of the book: "Indeed, the writings in the terminology of the people of Hadith have increased, expanded, and been summarized. Some brothers asked me to summarize the important of that, so I responded to his question; hoping to be included in those paths."
