Friday, Abdul Mohsen bin Abdullah Al-Zamil Introduction In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his companions. To proceed: Studying biographical books of men is one of the greatest aids in seeking knowledge, along with what it contains of calming the soul after much research and review of scientific issues. It is, for the student of knowledge, a leisure that energizes him to continue research and review. Biographical books are full of benefits, including stories, wisdom, proverbs, manners, and morals. Among the books that contain this is the book "Tadhib al-Kamal" by the Hafiz Al-Mizzi, may Allah have mercy on him. It is one of the books I often review to understand the state of narrators, and I often come across many pearls of benefit. It occurred to me to compile what I found pleasing from them, some together, for review when needed, as Abu Hatim said: "Write down the best of what you hear, memorize the best of what you write, and review with the best of what you memorize." And Allah has blessed me to read this book from beginning to end, except for what I repeated in review when necessary. Then I wrote down on papers the places that contained stories, wisdom, manners, and morals. Both brother Abdul Aziz bin Muhammad Al-Juraysi and son Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Zamil collected and described them. May Allah reward them well for what they have contributed, and bless them. I ask Allah to benefit me with it and those who read it. Amen. I also note that, praise be to Allah, I have other material of this kind that I collected before gathering what is in this book about some famous Hanbali scholars. I will, with Allah's permission, organize and publish it. I ask Allah to grant me and my Muslim brothers sincerity in speech and action. Amen.
