Introduction or 1981
Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon whom there is no prophet after him.
And after:
This is a brief message on the manners and rulings of mourning; free from details and disagreements to suit the situation of the woman mourning. It includes answers to what confuses many women in mourning regarding the rulings derived from the correct Islamic jurisprudence, as well as educational and guidance aspects, especially contemporary issues.
So I sought help from Allah in writing it, in response to the request of some brothers who are concerned with the washing of the deceased, and due to the frequent questions from women in mourning, and because some of its issues are renewed.
I compiled it from the books of the Prophetic Sunnah and its explanations, from the works of scholars from the four Imams: Abu Hanifa, Malik, Shafi’i, and Ahmad, and their followers, and other Imams of Islam and lights of guidance — may Allah have mercy on them, and reward them for Islam and Muslims — and I chose what might be closest to evidence and reasoning for the people of verification, God willing.
I named it: "The Consolation of the Heart in the Manners and Rulings of Mourning."
