In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate To proceed: I am honored to present to you, dear reader, an approximation of the book of Tawhid, following its explanation according to Al-Asfahani, who said: "Know that the composition is seven, for every wise person in sincere advice. It is an explanation for closing and correcting mistakes, creating new ink, an advanced and generous pen, an unordered arrangement, a collection of scattered parts, shortening and prolonging, completing what is lacking." And due to the high status of the book of Tawhid by Imam Muhammad ibn Abd Al-Wahhab, its innovative great method, its authentic scientific material, the blessed explanations, the verified and noble comments, I saw it fitting to organize everything Al-Asfahani said into one comprehensive collection, to adorn the book of Tawhid with it; so I may be honored to facilitate and bring it closer for everyone seeking benefit and enlightenment. I acknowledge that my knowledge is limited, and my insight is narrow, and I have nothing but selection and choosing from the words of noble scholars. I named it "The Gift of the Praiseworthy in Approximating the Book of Tawhid." In conclusion, I whisper in your ear, dear reader, what Yaqut Al-Hamawi concluded his introduction with, when he said: "I only undertook to compile this book out of excessive passion, love, and longing for what it contains, not for anyone I seek to emulate, nor for a position I aspire to. Rather, I desire that the one who looks into it may pray for me and extend good supplication to me. That is something that costs him nothing and causes no harm to him. Perhaps he will benefit from his supplication, and I will be granted what he is secure from losing." And I also wish that our generous reader, if he finds in these pages a slip of the pen or a misunderstanding, will contact me, rewarded and appreciated. The ear is listening, and the heart is open; because what the writer writes is subject to error and shortcoming. And I do not forget to clarify to the reader that our book is based on the style of brevity, and brevity is achieved through patience and insight. If you read it hastily, only a spark of haste will be gained. I pray to Allah that your benefit from reading it matches the effort I have put into it with sincerity, and that He blesses it, making it purely for His face. May He reward everyone from among the Imams of Muslims and their scholars who benefited from it with the best reward, and may it be a means for those who seek it to enter the Gardens of Paradise. And there is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great. Written by Khaled bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Dubikhi
