Praise be to His Excellency Sheikh Doctor / Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Humaid Written by / Saad bin Muhammad bin Saad Al-Mahna 30 steps for a distinguished endowment My brother who endows.. My sister who endows.. May Allah reward you all the best in this world and the Hereafter; for your determination to endow a part of your wealth in your lifetime for charitable causes, and may Allah bless you in your family, wealth, and children, and replace for you what you have spent. Your personal detachment from some of your properties, and dedicating them during your life or after your death for charitable work; is an act that only comes from a sincere soul, noble emotions, and success from Allah for you, and an opening to His mercy and grace. Endowment is one of the most important fields of goodness, the most abundant sources of charity, the broadest in scope, the greatest and most lasting in reward, and the most impactful. It has played a prominent role in Islamic societies throughout different eras, preserving their identity and vitality, supporting their jihad, fulfilling their needs, and supporting their scholars and preachers. It also plays an important role in economic and social development in Islamic societies throughout Islamic history; as endowments have financed many basic and public needs and services for the community. How many schools have produced scholars, how many libraries have preserved treasures, how many shelters have sheltered orphans, and how many hospitals have treated patients. Their owners have passed away, but their memory and legacy remain. Allah the Almighty said: {Indeed, We bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and their traces. And all things We have enumerated in a clear register.}
