Among the virtues of language are its broad vocabulary and beautiful expressions, and among the completeness of manners is the good choice of words. Among the finest sayings are wisdoms, and among their elegance is that they are eloquent, concise, rich in meaning, with deep connotations, containing reminders, admonitions, warnings, and rebukes, and depicting meanings and images. They originate from a conscious mind and deep experience.
From the experiences of time and the essence of life, scholars have selected the sweetest words of wisdom and the most wonderful phrases. Some of them documented them in their scattered speech, as Ibn Hazm did in his book "Morals and Conduct," where he said: "I gathered in this book many meanings, benefited from them the giver of distinction, may He be exalted, through the passing of days and the succession of circumstances, with what Allah granted me of concern for the changing times and overseeing their conditions, until I spent most of my life in that."
Some composed them in poetry, like Abi Al-Fath Ali bin Muhammad bin Al-Hussein Al-Busti in his poem: "Poetry of Abi Al-Fath Al-Busti, Title of Wisdoms," in which he illustrated noble traits, generous morals, and good manners, captivating the reader with its beautiful structure and sweet meaning, scattering pearls of gems on the ears and delicate beauties on the heart.
