Zakaria Ghulam Qadir Pakistani Classification In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Introduction All praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, seek His help, and ask for His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of ourselves and from our bad deeds. Whoever Allah guides, there is none to misguide him, and whoever He misguides, there is none to guide him. I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. As for what follows: It was narrated from Abdullah ibn Amr that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "The Children of Israel divided into seventy-two sects, and my Ummah will divide into seventy-three sects. All of them will be in the Fire except one." They asked: "Which one, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "What I and my companions are upon." It was narrated by Tirmidhi (26/5), Al-Ajri in Al-Sharia (51), Al-Lalika’i in Sharh Aqaid Ahl al-Sunnah (1/100), Al-Tabarani and others. It is a Hasan (good) hadith with its chains of narration, and Al-Albani, may Allah have mercy on him, classified it as Hasan. This hadith indicates the multiplicity and abundance of sects, and that none of them will be saved on the Day of Judgment except those who follow the methodology of the companions. So, which of these sects is the one that follows the methodology of the companions? They are the people of Hadith and the Sunnah, they are the victorious group and the saved sect. The proof of this will be seen in this book, O dear reader, which clarifies the argument that the people of Hadith are the victorious group and the saved sect. It also explains what is meant by the people of Hadith — their way and methodology. I ask Allah to make us truly among the people of Hadith, for He is the One who can do that. And may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and all his companions. Written by Zakaria ibn Ghulam Qadir Pakistani
