Fahad Al-Amari, the desire of the longing in the rulings of the session of the illumination, our Prophet - peace be upon him - informed us about the occurrence of chaos at the end of times, the raising of knowledge and the spread of ignorance and its descent among people. This was reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim from Abu Wail, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: I was sitting with Abdullah and Abu Musa, and they said: The Messenger of Allah - peace be upon him - said: "Indeed, before the Hour there will be days during which knowledge is raised, ignorance prevails, and chaos increases." Chaos is killing. Al-Bukhari also narrated from Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: The Prophet - peace be upon him - said: "The Hour will not come until knowledge is taken away, earthquakes increase, time shortens, and trials appear, and chaos - which is killing, killing - becomes widespread among you, and wealth overflows." Today, our nation lives in a time of enemies gathering against it, tormenting it, and subjecting it to various forms of oppression, humiliation, killing, torture, and insult, under deceptive pretexts that many people have fallen for. So what is the way out and where is the escape? Every believer in this situation should return to his Lord, hoping for reward and recompense, and devote himself and his time to pleasing Allah while seeing most of its youth distracted by devices and machines controlling the senses of hearing, sight, and heart. He should flee from them to worship his Lord, the Most High. Worship in times of heedlessness has a special virtue, and standing in the quiet of the night while people sleep has a virtue. The one who adheres to obeying Allah, if others neglect it and busy themselves with other matters, is like a runner after the fleeing. When the Prophet - peace be upon him - explained the reason for his increased fasting in the month of Sha'ban, he said: "That is a month in which people are heedless between Rajab and Ramadan," narrated by Al-Nasa'i and authenticated by Al-Albani. Praise and emphasis are given during times of utmost heedlessness, in our times of trials, when passions and instincts surge, and the matter of halal and haram is hidden; because most people during times of chaos and disturbance are preoccupied with other matters. The distance and heedlessness increase to the extent of ridiculing the dreams of wise people, neglecting the mind, and clinging to foolish logic and the temptation of absolute freedom of opinion. During trials, the believer learns that one of the measures in his life is returning to his Lord, and he becomes insightful through the words of his Prophet - peace be upon him - who said: "Worship in chaos is like emigrating to Me." narrated by Muslim. If the description attached to this virtue exists, then the virtue exists. The more a trial appears, the more the believer turns to worship his Lord. People, amidst the chaos, seek and yearn and run to the paths leading to salvation through their religion, morals, and the pleasure of their Lord. Sheikh Fahad Al-Amari drew some of this inspiration in his book titled "The Desire of the Longing in the Rulings of the Session of the Illumination." In the introduction, he explained how to escape from trials, including the session of the illumination, which is a spiritual and reflective prayerful gathering. He clarified in his book the reasons why people abandon it, its effects, virtues, sayings, states of the Salaf concerning it, and its rulings. He covered more than forty issues, attempting to answer many questions and discussions raised about the rulings of the session of the illumination and contemporary issues surrounding it in a simple and concise manner. This session has become forgotten in some communities, and people have become disinterested in it, even though sitting after Fajr was a habit of our Prophet - peace be upon him - as narrated by Muslim from Jaber bin Samura, who was asked: Did you sit with the Messenger of Allah - peace be upon him? He said: Yes, very often. He would not leave his prayer place where he prayed Fajr or the morning prayer until the sun rose, and when it rose, he would stand up. We hope the readers will download and read the book and share it among people to revive this prophetic tradition and spread beneficial knowledge. May Allah grant success to all in what He loves and is pleased with.
