Mahab Allah Abdul Shakur Al-Barbahari Muslim Al-Thabit in Usul Al-Fiqh for Mahab Allah Al-Bahari Hanafi recently published the book "Al-Muslim in Usul Al-Fiqh with its marginal notes known as Muslim Al-Thabit," authored by: the scholar "Mahab Allah Abdul Shakur Al-Bahari" (d. 1119 AH), study and verification: Dr. "Amer bin Isa Allahu," assistant professor of Usul Al-Fiqh at the College of Sharia and Law at Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, and it is in two volumes, published by "Dar Ibn Al-Jawzi." The original book is scientific lectures presented by researcher Dr. "Amer bin Isa Allahu" to obtain a PhD in Islamic Studies titled "Muslim Al-Thabit with its marginal notes in Usul Al-Fiqh by the scholar Mahab Allah bin Abdul Shakur Al-Bahari: Study and Verification" at the College of Education at Imam Saud University in 1438 AH under the supervision of Prof. "Ali bin Abdulaziz Al-Omairini." The book "Muslim Al-Thabit" is a book in Usul Al-Fiqh according to the Hanafi school, written in the method of the comprehensive school in the compilation and recording of the science of Usul Al-Fiqh, between the school of theologians and the school of jurists, though it leans toward the second school as it is Hanafi in doctrine, and influenced by it since most of its scholars were Hanafi. It is described as "the book of the giants, for those who want to know the roots." Mahab Allah bin Abdul Shakur Al-Hindi (1119 AH) named it so because the date of its compilation is the year 1109 AH, as he stated in its introduction: "And I named it Al-Muslim, may Allah save it from rejection and criticism, and make it a cause of joy and happiness, then inspired me the King of the Kingdom that its date is Muslim Al-Thabit." He mentioned that it is a comprehensive text that combines the methods of the Hanafi and Shafi’i schools, saying: "Then for some reason I wanted to prepare a comprehensive and sufficient book that gathers the branches and the principles with reason, and includes my method of the Hanafi and Shafi’i schools, and does not deviate from realism." The book has many commentaries from scholars of India; due to its fame there, the most famous of which are the commentary "Abdul Ali Al-Laknawi Indian" (1225 AH) in "Fawatih Al-Rahmat," and the "Explanation on Muslim Al-Thabit" by Sheikh "Nizamuddin Muhammad Al-Sahalawi," and "Fawatih Al-Rahmat explaining Muslim Al-Thabit" by the scholar "Abdul Ali bin Nizamuddin Al-Sahalawi," and "Nafa’is Al-Malakut" by the Mawlawi "Wali Allah bin Habib Allah Al-Lakhnawi," and "Explanation on Muslim Al-Thabit" by Mawlawi "Hassan bin Ghulam Mustafa Al-Lakhnawi," and "Explanation on Muslim Al-Thabit" by Mawlawi "Mubin bin Mahab Allah Al-Lakhnawi," and "Explanation on Muslim Al-Thabit" by Sheikh "Ahmad Abdul Haq Al-Lakhnawi," and "Kashf Al-Mubham explaining Muslim" by Qadi "Bishir Al-Din Al-Qanouji," and "Explanation on Muslim Al-Thabit" by Sheikh Abdul Haq bin Fadl Haq Al-Khairi Abadi. For Qadi "Ahmad Darwish," there is an explanation titled "Al-Tasheelat Al-Ilahiyyah in Usul Al-Fiqh of the Shafi’i and Hanafi explaining Muslim Al-Thabit." The text relies on concise wording, which in some places reaches complexity, and has not yet been carefully analyzed or refined in a suitable edition. Its reliance was on previous Hanafi books such as "Usul Al-Sarakhsi" and "Al-Bazdawi" among others. Those who read his commentary "Fawatih Al-Rahmat" will find care and attention to "Al-Mukhtasar Ibn Al-Hajjaj," especially in verifying its evidence or responding to it, with mention of "Ibn Al-Hajjaj’s" methodological principles. "Muslim Al-Thabit" was previously printed in two small parts at the Hussaini printing house in Egypt, and the commentary "Fawatih Al-Rahmat" was printed in the margin of "Al-Mustasfa" at the Amiriya printing house in Egypt in 1322 AH, and recently in Lebanon. However, these previous editions did not focus on editing the text or comparing it with manuscript copies, and most are old editions that did not clarify or simplify the text. Therefore, this verification is of great importance due to the significance of the text and its impact on the science of Usul Al-Fiqh in the manner of late scholars. Its topics are arranged as follows, as stated in the introduction of his book: "Arranged on (Introduction) that benefits insight, in the definition of Usul Al-Fiqh, its subject, and its benefit, and (Articles) on principles, and (Roots) on objectives, and (Conclusion) on ijtihad and similar matters." By principles, he means theological, rulings, and linguistic principles, and by objectives, he means the Book, the Sunnah, consensus, and analogy, and by ijtihad, he means imitation. The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs issued a catalog for the book "Muslim Al-Thabit," an alphabetical index of it and its topics, in 1406 AH - 1986 AD, and for several authoritative jurisprudential and foundational references to facilitate access for scholars to the jurisprudential issues presented by authors outside their usual sources. It aims to ease access to the treasures of Islamic jurisprudence, facilitate understanding of religion, its application, and its implementation. The author of the text is Mahab Allah bin Abdul Shakur Al-Bahari (d. 1119 AH / 1707 AD), Indian, Hanafi. Jurist, usulist, logician. Judge, among the notable figures. From "Bihar," a great city east of "Porb," in India. Born in a place called "Karah" with two openings. One of the most prominent scholars of Islam in his time, appointed by "Alamekair" as judge of "Lakhnao," then judge of "Hyderabad Deccan," then he became the head of the Indian kingdoms, and King "Shah Alam" appointed him: Qadi al-Qudat in the Mughal state, and granted him the title: "Fadil Khan." He did not live long after that, may Allah have mercy on him. His important works include: "Al-Jawhar Al-Fard" in Kalam, "Muslim Al-Thabit" in Usul Al-Fiqh, "Salam Al-Ulum" in Logic, and "Al-Mugalata Al-Aammah Al-Wurood."
