In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Introduction
Indeed, praise be to Allah, we praise Him and seek His help, and seek His forgiveness, and repent to Him, and seek refuge in Allah from the evil of ourselves and from the bad of our deeds; whoever Allah guides, there is no misleader for him, and whoever He misleads, there is no guide for him.
I bear witness that there is no deity but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. May Allah send blessings upon him, his family, his companions, and those who follow them with good until the Day of Judgment, and grant them peace.
As for what follows: these are gatherings for the blessed month of Ramadan, encompassing many rulings of fasting, prayer, Zakat, and what is appropriate for this noble month. I prepared them based on daily or nightly gatherings, selecting many of their sermons from the book: "Qurrat al-‘Uyoon al-Mubassirah bi Talkhīs Kitāb al-Tabsirah," with necessary modifications, and I emphasized in it the mention of rulings and manners, for the people's need for that. I named it: "Gatherings of the Month of Ramadan."
(1) For Abu Bakr bin Muhammad bin ‘Umar al-Mulla al-Hanafi, may Allah have mercy on him, who died in Mecca (1270 AH).
See: Al-A‘lam by Al-Zurqali (70/2) and the Islamic Heritage Dictionary by Al-Balout (1/140).
As for the book "Al-Tabsirah," it is by the Hafiz ‘Abd al-Rahman bin ‘Ali, known as Ibn al-Jawzi, who died in Baghdad (597 AH).
See: Wafayat al-A‘yan (3/140) and Siyar A‘lam al-Nubala’ (21/365).
It has previously been printed several times, then I thought to comment on it with a concise description, and the arrangement of its hadiths, and adding what I saw necessary to add, and removing what I saw unnecessary, which does not serve the purpose of the book.
May Allah make our work sincere for Him, and benefit from it. Indeed, He is the Generous, Noble.
