To proceed: Indeed, the monotheism of the Creator, سبحانه, is among the most important matters that must be cared for through compilation, dissemination, teaching, clarification, and guidance. It is the foundation to which all messengers called their nations, and it is the greatest goal for which Allah created His servants. Without it, Allah does not accept any act of worship or deed. Allah, سبحانه, has prepared from His creation those whom He chose to document this knowledge and clarify its reality as it came in the Book and the Sunnah. The early generations of this nation lived by it, being the closest to the revelation in time, the most truthful in understanding it, and the most diligent in applying its texts. This book, Ma'araj Al-Qabul by Sheikh Hafiz Hakimi, is one of these books that appears today in a new form after having received attention in terms of printing and publishing. However, today it gains another care — worthy of mention — from Sheikh / Muhammad Sobhi bin Hassan Al-Hallaq, who dedicated much of his life to serving many of the righteous predecessors' books, such as Imam Shawkani, Ibn Al-‘Amir Al-San‘ani, and others. His diligent effort has had a clear impact in reviving books that remained obscure and exposed to decay. This effort is considered a sincere act of worship to Allah عز وجل, and we pray to Allah عز وجل for him to be rewarded and granted goodness for what he has done. As for the effort he exerted in the book Ma'araj Al-Qabul before us, it is evident from what he explained in his plan, which he committed himself to follow, as well as through the comparison between the original printed copy, which was free of verification, and the effort he invested in serving the book. This matter does not require the reader’s introduction. Even if his effort was only to relieve the reader from the trouble of searching for Hadiths and آثار, and to identify their locations and classify many of them as authentic or weak, that alone would be a commendable effort. We do not stop at this praise for the verifier’s effort in serving this book, but it is also necessary to point out what is required of students and intellectuals — to study such books, benefit from them, live in their shade, and participate in caring for them so that they take their rightful place. Otherwise, this knowledge might fade away and its features diminish. It is a science that Muslims cannot do without in every era. The deviation among some groups regarding creed is due to ignorance of this science and its fundamentals, especially with the philosophers and theologians, where the side of reason was overemphasized over texts. How can human reason, which is limited and incapable, guide one to know its Creator سبحانه without being guided by the texts of the Book and Sunnah and adhering to their boundaries? We ask Allah عز وجل to prepare for this nation those who renew its religious landmarks, and to guide everyone to the straight path. He is the Guardian and capable of that.
