After: I have reviewed this research titled "The Clarified in the Rules of Excommunicating the Specific Person" by its author, the virtue Dr. Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Rashid, a faculty member at Qassim University. It is a beneficial and useful research; it was distinguished by brevity and conciseness, with good foundational and theoretical grounding, and good presentation and organization. Indeed, people are between excess and harshness regarding the issue of excommunicating the individual; some excommunicate individuals without knowledge, justice, or consideration of the circumstances of the eligibility or the establishment of proof, nor do they pay attention to the meeting of conditions and the absence of obstacles in the rights of persons. They oppose those who have closed the door of apostasy, preventing the general excommunication of individuals in all cases. The researcher—may Allah bless him—did well in clarifying this delicate issue, and warned against the excessiveness of the extremists and the strict, and the neglect of the harsh and lenient. He established a just and moderate approach between the two opinions, and clarified it according to established rules and simplified foundations. And Allah is the grant of success.
